Here is a VCP sewer pipe installation being connected to a PVC plastic sewer pipe cleanout. Usually, on private property, sewer pipe is converted from clay to plastic material. You will notice that the sewer pipe has two different ends. A "spigot" shaped end connects to the "bell" shaped end of the pipe and the process goes on until either a cleanout or a sewer manhole is installed.
